# Honoured for Outstanding Contributions to Media, Communication, and South Asian Media Diplomacy
New Delhi: Senior journalist and media communication expert Dr. O.P. Yadav has been conferred with the prestigious LIPI Europe Media Award 2026 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to media, communication, and South Asian media diplomacy. The award was presented during a grand international cultural and literary event organised by LIPI Europe (Literary Intellectuals and Poets of India Origin, Europe) under its flagship ‘India Beyond Borders’ campaign at the Constitution Club of India in New Delhi.
The honour was jointly presented by Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel, Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying and Panchayati Raj; Shri Ramesh Awasthi, Member of Parliament from Kanpur; Shri Sunil Kumar Singh, Director, Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India; Padma Shri Surendra Sharma; and Dr. Yojna Jain, President of LIPI Europe and a Germany-based Indian diaspora leader.
Addressing the gathering during the award ceremony, Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel praised Dr. Yadav’s significant contributions to the field of media and communication at South Asian University (SAU), highlighting his impactful work in advancing academic and professional excellence.
Expressing his gratitude after receiving the honour, Dr. O.P. Yadav said, “Receiving an international recognition such as the LIPI Europe Media Award 2026 is both a privilege and a source of immense inspiration for me. This honour further strengthens my sense of responsibility towards advancing media and communication diplomacy. The award will continue to motivate me to work towards strengthening dialogue, cultural cooperation, and media diplomacy between India and the countries of South Asia.”
