Dr Care Hospitals Launches *100-Day Antibiotic Awareness Programme

NEW DELHI: Dr Care Hospitals has launched a 100-Day Antibiotic Awareness Programme to educate the public about the responsible and appropriate use of antibiotics. The initiative, being conducted from August 15 to November 14, follows a 60-day survey carried out by doctors across cities and villages in Telangana.

Dr A. M. Reddy , Chairman , Dr Care Hospitals , said indiscriminate antibiotic use may disturb beneficial microorganisms and contribute to antibiotic resistance and other health concerns. He urged the public to use antibiotics only under medical supervision.

Dr Gauri Shankar , Director, Dr Cancer Care, highlighted concerns about excessive medication and its impact on overall health, particularly gut health.

Dr Amaravathi, Director, Dr Skin, urged people not to self-medicate with easily available antibiotics and called upon doctors to prescribe them judiciously.

Dr Care Hospitals appealed to citizens to join the campaign and promote responsible antibiotic use for healthier future generations.
